War Deimos Sanbrak Eylwindir wandered down into the depths of the caves with a bag of tools on his back and a bag of meat in his hand humming a dark little tune as he entered the cave for his monthly checkup of the keeper.
Xylexius had been hanging in solitude, tucked away in the corners of the earth with many limbs scratched tight against stone. Green eyes, bright and livid, but mad and without heart blinked one at a time, the lower ones flowering through the cycle before the upper pair followed. Someone had wandered down into the depths of the caves, something new. He had been sleeping for a while now, nuzzled away in the crooks and crannies of the undisturbed darkness, only crawling out as of weeks recent to check upon the world once more. The near-metallic and Obsidian-like legs creaked forward, clittering on the roof of the cavern, and slightly closer towards the new guest. Curious, and observing.
War Deimos Sanbrak Eylwindir 's ears twitched at the new sound and his head jerked to the side as his own vortexted eye shifted up to the being. He saw the mass of darkness and took a step back through turned to continue his venture to the keeper. "Morning old friend I bright some food and oils for you to feel better, I know how rough it is." He smiled at the great hunk of messed u bits that kept watch over the cave. "I see you have company today." He smiled attempting to look innocent and not threatening, not a hard task considering his size.
Xylexius looked up and above at the being he had spoken to. Yes, the construct was a good host. Though initially aggressive and rather inhospitable, repetition and continued presence had reduced the monster's presence to that of indeed, another shade to creep through the dark. He looked momentarily upon the food-things the young creature had brought the other, a long and black, thick tongue sneaking out of his mouth to lick down at his own chin before curling back into the set of teeth. He was not hungry. He couldn't be, with how down he had been feeling as of late. He felt careless and unenthusiastic, plain and emotionless. It was truly a pain of a state to be in.
War Deimos Sanbrak Eylwindir rested the bag of meat onto the ground as he moved around to the back side of the beast that growled at him but still only sat there. He reached his hands up and started to pick and dig at the metal burls which had a yell coming his way and he flinched. "I'm sorry I gotta or you will be in pain!" He insisted in a clam a voice as he could muster. He took out the file and started working on the sharp ends slowly smoothing them down. "You and your new friend can eat that when you're hungry ok new friend"?" he said without looking since he had no idea what the other actually looked like yet.
Xylexius slipped down from the ceiling, the many limbs thudding the earth from the decent as he maneuvered from an upside-down position up above, down the space of air quickly with a turn, and onto his legs once again. Click click, some of the legs went, shadows spurling about momentarily at the action before dying away quickly. He moved a bit forward, slowly into the dimmed light of the plants that gave his forms detailed a wispering quality. "You feed it, and from your methods, feed it often.." Many voices hissed out of the spider-like creature. "How quaint. Noble and generous of you.. Admirable, perhaps, if my fancy was slabs of meat.. But I am sure it will not go wasted." A horrible grin was offered, the many sharp teeth of its visage glimmering away. He did not feel the need to try and read away at him. He was lethargic and not in the mood, a rare state of mind for the monster. He preferred his current form at the moment anyway, grand and large, full of beauty along his spikes and crooked ridges.
War Deimos Sanbrak Eylwindir looked over his shoulder again still only seeing shadows with his vortexed eye so he closed it to get a good view of the other. His green eye lit with excitement at the visage and he beamed. "Pretty!" A boyish little giggle escaped before another growl came from the monster and the bag was snatched up and hidden away. He dumped out the small bag onto the monsters head and started to rub in the oils that were there making it shiny and smooth. "I bring it food and help it feel better so it wont want to rampage the city, if you want I can bring you stuff to."
Xylexius listened to his exclamation. Certainly adequate of his natural creative looks. He was undeniably good-looking, at least in his infinite wisdom. The creature chattered with a low chuckle, the sound soft and long before a claw touched his own chest addressingly. "Once, some would bring my gifts that I might grace them with my presence less. My beauty was too much for them to take, I do believe, and so they left me offerings of fruit and small treasures now and then.. My favorite was always grapes. Violet and sweet." He replied with a flutter of his lashes, the darkness twitching slightly at his sides. "Perhaps your friend is equally good-looking, and seeks only to share his beauty with others. In either case, I would love to have gifts once again... In return, I will keep your friend company longer, and be as peaceful as he remains."
War Deimos Sanbrak Eylwindir blinked at the other as he finished the rubdown of the beast that grumbled and flopped down with a metals scraping creak. "Sure I can break meat and fruit gladly." He offered a smile before sealing back up his bag and stretching out. "I'll bring it as soon as i can spare some time from the mecha shop and thank you for keeping the keeper company, I'm sure he gets lonely in here." to which a grunt was replied. He moved back toward the latter and gave an almost longing look at the other his vortexed eye still closed. "Nice meeting you mister, I'm War."
Xylexius stared off at him, watching his every movement and following his body like a turning machine. As he approached the ladder and made his agreement, then declaring his name, a cock of his head was replied with. Names. Names. He had forgotten many of his names. A few still rung sound in his mind, one that was common enough they many once knew it and it stuck nicely on his tongue. "Xylexius... That is what many liked to call me, once." He replied. "Darling dear War... Come back soon..." The creature hissed softly, before his many legs scuttled and brought his shape backwards, the small flecks of light that were his green eyes being the last clear sight for normal hues before the shadows surrounded him once more, and he was hidden in his comfort for a second time.
War Deimos Sanbrak Eylwindir tilted his own head again and nodded his smile a bit crooked this time. he clutched to the latter and started to climb slowly. "Ok I will, Xylexius" He gave a little wave and climbed the next rung scampering out of the cave and wondering where he was going to get grapes from ..... hm.
